Contractor Referral FAQ

We've highlighted the most frequently asked questions regarding our Contractor Referal Program below.
Once you've found your answer, please go back and fill out the contractor referral form.

How do contractors become a part of the Harvey Referral Program?

Contractors on the Harvey Building Products referral list have voluntarily requested to be on our program. Because this is a voluntary program for contractors, the list in no way represents Harvey Building Products’s entire customer base, nor do we guarantee the work of any referred contractor.

Referral program contractors must meet a minimum sales requirement to be referred for particular products and tell us they are licensed and/or insured if required by their state. Please visit your state’s Attorney General office website or local building inspector for your state requirements.

Does Harvey Building Products verify the validity of a contractor’s insurance or license?

Harvey Building Products does not review or validate a contractor’s license or insurance.

What if I can’t find a contractor in my zip code area?

Currently we service all of the New England states, and portions of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. We are unable to distribute products to other areas at this time. If you are located out of these listed areas, we will not be able to provide you with a referral.

You can receive up to 6 names of contractors in your area based upon the enrollment of customers in the program for your particular zip code area. If you receive less than 6 names, we have provided you with all of the names of those contractors that have signed up for our program for your area.

What if I chose a contractor that is not on the list provided to me?

Any qualified contractor you choose can establish an account with Harvey Building Products and provide you with Harvey products.

Does Harvey rate or monitor a contractor’s performance?

Because these are independent contractors and we do not guarantee their work, we do not monitor or rate a contractor’s performance. See our program disclaimer.

How do I give feedback regarding your referral program?

You will receive a survey to the e-mail address you provided during your initial referral search in order for you to provide feedback to Harvey Building Products regarding your search. The survey will be e-mailed for each request received 12 weeks after the request.

We encourage you to fill out the survey and return it to us as this will help us with future enhancements to our program.

What if I have a problem with my contractor’s workmanship/quality of work, etc.?

Complaints for these types of issues can be submitted to your state’s Attorney General office or the Better Business Bureau.
