Energy Star Climate Zones

At Harvey Building Products, we’re not only dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of our employees and customers, but we’re interested in saving the planet’s resources as well. That’s why we are an ENERGY STAR® partner. We’re committed to reducing our ecological footprint by manufacturing quality products with glazing options that meet ENERGY STAR requirements, while helping homeowners conserve energy and save money.

ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. Our involvement with ENERGY STAR, including the time and resources we’ve invested in the program, has allowed us to:

• Continuously improve our energy performance
• Measure and track the energy performance of our facilities
• Develop and implement energy saving plans
• Spread the word about the importance of energy efficiency

On average, New England homeowners who replaced their single pane windows with ENERGY STAR certified ones saved about $366/year on their utility bill. Now, translate that to energy consumption and you’re reducing CO2 emissions by 4,000 lbs/year, or about 64 gallons of gas per year per household. According to the EPA, ENERGY STAR partners have prevented 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions and both individuals and businesses alike have saved over $295 billion in energy costs. But, it’s more than just savings. When installed correctly with proper insulation, ENERGY STAR qualified windows and patio doors also help to improve comfort, eliminate drafts, and reduce fading of interior finishes. With savings and benefits you can’t afford to miss, be sure to check out our ENERGY STAR qualified windows.
