In Fairhaven, Massachusetts, Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was in major need of some window renovation. Harvey stepped in to help this 142-bed facility get the window treatment it needed.
As windows are a major source of natural light for the patients at Alden Court, these windows needed to be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing to individuals staying at the facility. With the help of Care Free Homes, Harvey made a major difference in the overall design of the facility.
The original windows at Alden Court were out of date and difficult for patients and caregivers alike to use. Usability was a major issue, so Alden Court wanted windows that were low-maintenance including simple operating styles as well as easy-to-clean surfaces. Care Free Homes decided to match the classic style of the original design of the facility by choosing gridded, vertical sliding windows. However, the original design of the building included decorative window shutters that we found to be unnecessary for the overall effect of the window treatment. By removing these shutters, we made the window fixtures easier to maintain.
The windows of choice for Alden Court are the Harvey Classic vinyl window, new construction, double hung windows. These windows can be opened and closed easily, but are very similar to the original look. By replacing every window in the facility, we were able to achieve a consistent and clean design, and everyone can enjoy a beautiful new window to look out of.

For a complete exterior renovation, Care Free Homes also updated the exterior siding of Alden Court. We chose Mastic Cedar Discovery and Carvedwood 44 vinyl siding in Rugged Canyon. This siding can stand up against extreme temperatures, sun damage, and moisture, all while looking beautiful! For trim, we included the AZEK and Mastic trim that added the perfect finish to the exterior design.
Patients at Alden Court deserve home that makes them feel comfortable and happy. The design of the facility plays a major role in this comfort, and we were happy to achieve just that!
