This unique New England home was built in 1950. After trying their best with painting and maintaining the exterior year after year, the homeowners decided to go with an easier solution. Instead of trying to match the front of the house to the detached garage (as attempted with paint), they opted for the CertainTeed MONOGRAM vinyl siding in Pacific Blue color to compliment the yellow.
In lieu of adding new storm windows over the original wood windows, the homeowner figured it was time for a replacement option to save on energy. It’s a great idea to replace old windows at the same time as re-siding. This allows your contractor to set the capping around your windows before putting the siding in place. Which helps with water seal and provides a sleek looking trim. They decided on ENERGY STAR Harvey Classic Double-Hung windows.
Keeping with the energy efficient theme, a new Therma-Tru Entry door was added, as well as a Harvey Vinyl Sliding Patio Door for the deck side entry-way. A new Owens Corning ENERGY STAR rated asphalt shingle roof was installed to top off this amazing transformation.
The end result of this exciting new exterior: major curb appeal and instant equity.
